IS IT A BIRD? IS IT A PLANE?
No , its my new umbrella swift and ball winder, my xmas present from Bill. Hanks of homespun yarn are held by the umbrella swift and the yarn is attched to the ball winder. The swift and ball winder turn simultaneously to produce beautifully wound balls of yarn. The gift has been put to good use as I took it to the last Stitch and Bitch meeting and wound 4 hanks of yarn for friends.

Tote Exchange
Received my international tote exchange partner assignment this week, am looking forward to knitting a non-felted (gasp) purse for once. Been teaching myself crochet this week, will post pictures of my finished projects soon. Also am in the midst of a open front cardigan which is knitting up quickly.
